About The Guide
Every client we work with at Yellowhawk Creative has different goals and different needs, but we find that most of these people, at some point in the development process, ask some of the same questions. And of course they do: so much of the Internet and its technologies is never explained — even in popular publications or on popular websites — at a level that everyone can understand.
Thus: The Guide.
Herein we attempt a simple task: to explain in clean and simple language the various components and processes by which you as an individual or an organization can engage others through this series of tubes known as the Internet. We’ll address such questions as: What it takes, precisely, to build a website; how to start an e-marketing campaign; what the heck Flickr is and why the heck there ain’t no “e” in their name; how online advertising works; ad infinitum.
Sure these answers exist elsewhere on the web. But we have yet to find a centralized place for them, and the disparate ones we’ve found are simply too dense or too shallow to do much good. So read on. If something isn’t clear, let us know and we’ll tweak our answers until they are.
If you have a question or a topic that we haven’t addressed, let us know that and we’ll get right on it.And, when you’re ready to tackle the process of building your online presence, we can help there, too.
